My smallest and simplest design, and also one of my best-sellers, this permit-free* cabin gives you the classic A-frame look at a very low cost - I built the one in the photos for about US$2500 in lumber. Simple to build, this is a great DIY project as a backyard getaway space or as a complement to a larger main cabin or house project. With a small team of 2-3 people this cabin can be built from start to finish in a week.
